Firebird Dance Studio offers multidiscpline classes for children divided by age groups, ranging from a 1.5 to 15 years of age, as well as a Ballroom and Latin classes and private lessons. Children learn technique and choreography in dynamic classes that teach them to be not just a dancer, but a performer. Students gain confidence, character, individuality, and a creative means of expression. Firebird's choreographer and artistic director, Lotta Burton, specializes in creating unique shows and performances. Students starting from the age of five learn the dance styles that are incorporated into these dance shows. These styles include contemporary, folk, ballet, lyrical, ballroom, and latin. The children also have the opportunity to then perform the unique choreography in our exciting shows, which are performed on the best stages of the bay area and beyond (most recently, we performed our latest show, Quintessence at Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall).

Classes for students 1.5 to 4 years old learn creative movement, develop their expressive skills, coordination, balance, and sense of rhythm with fun music and enthusiastic instructors.

Pricing

Group Lessons
All prices below are per month, and apply to all children's group dance lessons. A single lesson counts as a 45-minute-long class. For pricing on private lessons, visit the private lessons page. All new students and parents are welcome to sit in on a lesson prior to signing up, or going to one free trial class!

1 lesson a week — $65/month
2 lessons a week — $105/month
3 lessons a week — $125/month
4 lessons a week — $140/month
5 lessons a week — $155/month
6 lessons a week — $170/month
7 lessons a week — $185/month
8 lessons a week — $200/month
Unlimited lessons — $215/month

For families enrolling more than one student, we offer a family discount. Parents pay full price for one child's lessons, and receive 25% off (from the list above) the monthly tuition of their second child, and 50% off for their third child.

Payments are collected on the first lesson of every month. For payments made after the 10th of the month, we charge a $15 late fee.

Costume Policy

Since the dancers of Firebird Dance School perform in our shows and concerts, we charge a $50 costume rental fee per student at the beginning of each season or at the time of enrollment. This is for use of all our existing studio costumes for all performances throughout the season. Please take good care of costumes, so we can perserve them for years to come. Costumes lost or damaged while in the student's possession must be paid for.
